This Equestrian Center (of the Hotel Golf Mar) is a part of a 220 hectare tourism complex with direct access to 3 beaches and many other facilities, just 60km from Lisbon in the Oeste torism reguion. The excellent equestrian complex has 9000m2 of the best quality lawn, even copared to the rest of Europe.
CSI Vimeiro was held for the first time in 1979 and uninterrupted since 1986. The first CSI 2* happened in 2002 as the owners of the venue realized the importance and potential of such events. The next year participation doubled and so Vimeiro began organizing 2 CSI as of 2004, consolidating the success and popularity of the project until now. Just in 2007, five Show Jumping events were held, 4 of which were International.
